This policy explains how ToolDesk handles files, text, and basic usage data.
Browser-only tools
Most ToolDesk tools run directly in your browser. When a tool is labeled as browser-based, the selected files or pasted content stay on your device and are not uploaded to ToolDesk servers.
Temporary server processing
Some advanced tools require server processing, such as certain OCR, HEIC, PDF, and Office conversion tools. For those tools, files are uploaded only to complete the requested conversion, compression, or extraction. ToolDesk does not permanently store those uploaded files.
File retention
Server-processed files are handled temporarily for the active request and are deleted after processing. ToolDesk does not provide cloud storage, file history, or manual review of uploaded file contents.
Accounts
ToolDesk does not require an account for its core tools. Because there is no account system, ToolDesk does not collect profile details, passwords, or account preferences from tool users.
Analytics and diagnostics
ToolDesk may use basic, privacy-conscious analytics or server diagnostics to understand site usage, performance, and errors. These signals are used to maintain and improve the site, not to inspect the contents of user files.
Third-party services
ToolDesk does not use paid external processing APIs for uploaded files unless that is clearly disclosed on the relevant tool page. If analytics, hosting, or security providers are used, they may process limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, page URL, and request timing.
