Image Tools
Compress Image Directory Online
Recursively compress a folder of images and download the results in one ZIP.
Compress an image folder
Recursively optimize every supported image while preserving its filename stem and folder path.
Images are compressed in your browser, one at a time. Nothing is uploaded. WebP is selected by default so PNG images become materially smaller; their filename extension changes to .webp.
Workflow
- 1Choose a folder containing PNG, JPG, or WebP images.
- 2Choose WebP, JPG, or the original format, then set the output quality.
- 3Compress the directory while ToolDesk processes each image in order.
- 4Download the ZIP with the original filename stems and folder structure.
FAQ
Are my image folders uploaded?
No. Images are compressed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to ToolDesk.
Are subfolders included?
Yes. The folder picker finds supported images recursively and recreates their relative folder paths inside the ZIP.
Will image filenames or formats change?
Folder paths and filename stems are preserved. WebP is the default for meaningful size reduction, so converted files use the .webp extension. You can choose JPG or keep each original format instead. Already-optimized files remain unchanged when conversion would make them larger.
